What is Areaism?
Areaism is an ideology of the whole that rejects the fragmentation of Sectoralism, instead prioritizing the total well-being of households within the regenerative capacity of their specific place, or "Area" as formulated by Dr. Sixto K. Roxas.
It achieves this by empowering the community to manage its own resources through the consensual governance and collective intelligence that Elinor Ostrom discovered was so effective and authentic. Ultimately, Areaism provides a practical framework for healing our broken world, creating a just and regenerative prosperity by wisely conducting the powerful tools of our specialized sectors for the good of the whole.

What is a Biodistrict?
A Biodistrict is the ideal minimum unit for Areaism development, a specific geographic area defined by Sixto K. Roxas that is both ecologically and commercially integrated. Typically encompassing a complete ridge-to-reef ecosystem and a cluster of municipalities, it serves as the tangible, human-scale arena where the community can practice consensual governance and manage its resources holistically. Ultimately, the Biodistrict is the healing ground where the community takes back control, optimizing for the total well-being of its households and the regenerative capacity of its land.
